Photography is more about just owning a camera. One to One Photo Sessions will increase your understanding of exposure, your camera’s limitations, light quality and endless composition options which can all be confusing. So whether you wish to master the basics and improve your skills, or take your understanding to another level you’ll always receive a warm welcome and tailored approach during your time with Glen.
With patience and clear instruction, Glen has taught photographers from all over the world for over 20 years. He is an AIPP Master of Photography, studied Visual Art – Applied Photography (NMIT Melbourne) won multiple professional awards and worked in various photography discipline’s ( Media, Commercial , Wedding and Portrait ) while being based in Australia for 13 years.

One to One Photo Sessions include a critique and review of your own recent work. All one to one workshops are tailored to your individual requirements and a brief chat at the start will give Glen an insight into where you’re at.

Master Your Camera
Half Day – £185.00
Half day one to one photo workshops are a great introduction for getting started or for those trying to refresh their skills. We cover the basics of digital camera controls, shooting in manual mode, histograms and composition while having all your questions answered and capturing some great images.
Half Day fee: £185.00 per person (4hrs duration) additional participants £35.00 p/p – max 4)
- Basic equipment use and advice ( tripods, lenses, filters etc) what you need and what you don’t
- Shooting in manual and mastering exposure
- Optimising camera functions,
- Using histograms
- Simplifying composition

Creative Photography Tuition
Full Day – £295.00
These sessions go over the basics but also focus more on the “creative side” of your photography.
Single day £295.00* / (up to 7.5 hrs duration)
Additional participants £95.00 (max 3 participants)

- Equipment advice – having the right gear for the job
- Simplifying creative composition
- Focal length and aperture
- Long exposure and ND Filters
- Neutral density and graduated filters
- Light quality – Light is King – when its good and when its not
- Composition techniques
- Q&A sessions all your question’s answered.. write them down and bring them.
You’re also encouraged to bring selection of your previous images in digital format for review and assessment, a valueable learning experience in itself.
Location options
The East Neuk of Fife Coast – just to the north of Edinburgh across the Firth of Forth – historic villages, harbours, St Andrews and seascapes
Edinburgh – the Bridges and the ancient setting of Edinburgh’s old town. Street photography, iconic landmarks and cityscapes.
Customised Private Tours
I spend a lot of time traveling with groups but do offer occasional private tours when organised far enough in advance.
I understand some people like to do their own thing and that’s great. So either on your own, with a group of friends or associates I can tailor a guided Custom Photo Tour in Scotland with tuition to suit your preferences.

Please note that quoted prices are for guiding and itinerary with transport, pick up and drop off at your accommodation which is not included. This can be arranged to suit your preferences and Glen can advise.
Glen has over 20 years of experience guiding photographers and over 15 here in Scotland so you’ll be in good hands. He has an intimate knowledge of locations, both iconic and well off the beaten path. Sessions are tailored to your physical ability and personal preferences.
