Jurassic Coast Trip Summary

5 days to catch sea breeze and drama on this stunning  Jurassic Coast workshop in the county of Dorset on England’s south coast.

The Jurassic coast is a World Heritage site and highlights include a mixture of seascapes, golden sands, chalky cliffs, lighthouses, and rolling Dorest hills peppered with geographical sites and olde world features. The inland hills and are rich with castles, churches, woodland ways and classic English villages like Abbotsbury that retain much of their charm and heritage.

Corfe Castle, Portland Bill, Durdle door, Pulpit Rock and villages of Shaftsbury (Gold Hill) and Abbotsbury all rich with photographic potential and iconic south coast photography locations.

Loaded with both natural drama and old England charm this workshop offers plenty of colour both manmade and natural, evocative morning mists mixed with warm setting and rising suns over breathtaking vistas. Book your place now.


Your base for four nights and five days will be accommodation in the coastal town of Weymouth which lies central to the east and west of our main locations.  Single occupancy rooms will be the norm unless stated.

Meals – for ultimate flexibility while in the field we may prepare our own group meals ( your preferences will be noted prior to the trip) and  maybe a night in a local pub to break things up.

Getting there 

Pick up / meet up will be at Bournemouth’s central station at 11:00hrs on Sunday 2nd October 2022

Bournemouth has airport and rail connections to the rest of the UK.

Nearby Southampton airport also has a  rail connection directly to Bournemouth which takes about 50 minutes.

Once picked up in Bournemouth we will make our way west through rural Dorset down towards Weymouth via some of our featured locations.

Drop off will be in Bournemouth at 16:00hrs on Thursday the 6th October.
