New – Capture and Create Photoshop workshop – Northumberland, England
This workshop will be the first in a series of Capture and Create Photoshop workshops taking place at a different and inspiring location each year.
Each workshop will combine a practical afternoon session around a location, this year Northumberland’s Berwick upon Tweed and the Holy Isle of Lindisfarne will get us started and provide images for the editing sessions. From here we’ll travel to our accommodation for dinner and an initial photoshop introduction.
Over the weekend we’ll focus on morning sunrise capture sessions around Bamburgh Castle and Dunstanburgh Castle along the Northumberland coast.
During the day, informal Photoshop classroom sessions will get to grips with RAW workflow and the theory involved in creative image editing. If time and weather permits we may also have a practical dusk session.
Capture and Create
For many photographers image editing is a continued work in progress. The editing tools have pretty much remained the same in the digital darkroom but our vision, style and effective use of these tools can evolve or be refined as your photography skills and experience grow.
It’s also easy to get stuck in a creative rut and become uninspired with a particular process, so with these sessions you can explore alternative methods and ideas.
During this Northumberland workshop we’ll use fresh examples and adapt a simplified and structured RAW workflow that will help you refine your editing process.
From there we can develop new skills and develop new ideas to help the creative process. We’ll discuss editing techniques and look at historical examples of post production to break down the process . A mixture of technical under standing and creativity is essential to unlock the potential of any RAW file.
Whether you want to present a clear unaltered vision of your captured image or adapt a more creative interpretation of a scene or place this workshop will help you in achieving those goals.
